Written for the UNL Chamber Music Institute, featuring the Chiara String Quartet. Remix of the very first piece Compost (1998) in a contemporary idiom. Premiered on June 10th, 2011, at the University of Nebraska-Lincoln, USA.

For choir (SATB, ≥6+6+3+3), accompanying themselves on small percussion, and double bass, 11'.
Commissioned by the Erasmus Kamerkoor with support by the Van Bijleveltstichting and Stichting Fonds voor de Geld- en Effectenhandel, for its series Carte Blanche by featuring Ivo Opstelten,
the right-wing former mayor of Rotterdam. Rap and vocal counterpoint with texts from Adam Smith's Wealth of Nations.
Premiered on January 29th and 30th in The Hague and Rotterdam, NL.

Piece inspired by the financial crisis featuring Citigroup's 95% fall in share price, its former chairman's famous quote, Financial Times headlines and a concise history of the American currency.

For vocal quartet (SATB), two PhD students (tenor) and piano four-hands, 10'.
Commissioned by the Dutch national newspaper de Volkskrant, which published De bètacanon, a list of scientific topics that everyone should know. Since a 'canon' has to be sung, the fifty topics are sung in a musical canon in four voices.
